Europeans will get their first chance to put their order in for the all-new 2015 Ford Mustang on May 24 during the UEFA Champions League final in Lisbon, Portugal. Orders will be limited to just 500 examples and can be made from the start of the game to the very end. Customers can choose between either the fastback in Race Red or convertible in Magnetic Silver and will have the option of either the 2.3-liter Ecoboost four-cylinder or the 5.0-liter V8.

The soccer match, the culmination of a tournament with the top soccer clubs in Europe, is expected to attract more than 70 million viewers and Europe and 165 million viewers around the world. Ford has partnered with UEFA since 1992.

“The arrival of the new Ford Mustang in Europe is an event that deserves the biggest possible stage,” said Roelant de Waard, vice president, Marketing, Sales & Service, Ford of Europe. “We hope that making the first models available to order at the exact moment the Final kicks off will ensure a reach which matches the significance.”

There’s still no word when the 2015 Mustang will be made available for pre-order in the United States, but we fully expect Ford to open their books in the next couple weeks.
