transmission has a big role in that is it auto or stick? whats your power range ex.1800-5000rpm what do you plan to do with the car. if you go to 4.10's your rpm's will increase fuel mileage will go down might lose time in the quarter if it wont hook up to the track just spins

the car is stick and i plan to race the car until something blows up and then ill buy a new engin. and im gonna put street leagle slicks on it and i dont want to spend a ton of money on just the car. i want the car to get up and with a stock motor and nexxt year 2008 i will get a new engin built for it.

well sound like you got the plan layed out sorta similar to mine too lol
i got the auto so im going 4.10's my first gear isnt as low as the stick so im a dog out the hole but once it gets movin its ok.
with yourse i dunno i think 3.73's would work good. with slicks it might get traction with 4.10's? see what some of the other guys say

if the car is mostly stock go with the 3.73s
I have gone 13.30s with a stock long block with bolton's and 3.55 gears in an 92 lx notch

Being a 5.0L (going by your username) go with 3.73's unless you plan on doing a cam, heads, and intake that change where the engine rev's,this plays a big roll.
Now if you were a 4.6L,then 4.10's are the way to go.
