G/B is a great facility, dont get me wrong. But it doesnt have the home feel of Sparta.
Sparta defence 101
Here goes..
First off Sparta is the only track you can sit at your car and watch runs...to me thats huge
Sparta is the only track that has tree's..another fine bonus
Sparta is 30 min away...
Sparta doesnt have the tech to go through like G/B and Cayuga..trust me on this one.
On any given wknd day Sparta's track is as good, if not better then Cayuga's...probably not G/B..but it's alot older too.
Most ppl that knock Sparta base it on the Friday nite test and tunes...well in my experience you will never run your best times at night...pony up the $20.00 and go on a wknd day during test and tune..if theres no events going on that wknd you practically have the track to yourself. Try that anywhere else...
oh and btw I once did the Saturday Test and Tune at G/B....cost me $40.00 and I got 2 runs in in 4 hours.
Sparta is an older facility, but Dave and the crew do a pretty good job of maintaining that track and its come a long way in the last 5 years.

Fri. nights are hardly worth going to(poor traction and ricers). But you can't beat a nice sunny Sat. afternoon TT at St. thomas, relaxed atmosphere and usually you can make as many passes as you want. There where days I made 12+ runs and still had time for a few refreshments
before the track closed. I agree with BIZ GB nice also but to business like for me + no shade. My car 60' better at St. thomas too.

yah gb is nice, but u cant test n tune on sats too, thats why i have went to st thomas more then gb and i live like 15 mins from GB so maybe all the locals should take a nice sat and got to St thomas track and meet some of the ppl from this site and have some fun?
