Actual Mileage for Mustang 4.0L V6 automatic

Hi All,

I'm looking to buy a Mustang '08 or '09 and trying to figure out what the 'actual' mileage will be vs. book listings.

The Saturn Ion 3 Coupe I'm driving right now (which I hate) is getting about 12L/100km 80% city/ 20% hwy driving combined. (lists at 9.6L/100 km city driving:)

Your real world experience would be really appreciated.

Thanks,
:)

I have an 04 4.6 V8 which gives me 19 mpg city and 30 mpg hwy. You do the conversion?

That's really good! It converts into 12.9L/100km. I'd be looking at a slightly smaller engine which might make a minimal difference too.

Do you find that mileage to be pretty consistent?

I normally get 31 mpg on the highway in 20-21 in the city. The mustang is a 2005. I don't do kilometers so you figure it out.

I have three years worth of data , all the same generally.

That works out to approx. 11.39L/100 km which is much better than I expected! And close to the book listed mileage.

Thanks for responding!:tup

My 4.0 is an '07 with a manual, and I generally get 25-27 MPG in combined city/highway driving with 3.73 gears

Straight highway running 31 and a best of 32 MPG with the 5 speed auto. Combined city /highway which is my normal routine, it's between 24 and 27 mpg.

if i do just highway driving.. .like Ottawa to London..
when i fill up ..
i'll get 660-675KM to an empty tank..
thats driving roughly 120km/hr
