Battery Light?

Alright need some help. My battery light came on today. Then I went out and left the car. Came home 5 hours later and the light goes off. Then on the way home it comes on again. Im thinking one of battery alternator starter. But it starts no problem and all the accessories work fine and my battery gauge is right dead in the middle! Anyone have any clue what it could be? I was going to get it checked asap, just figured I would weigh the situation on you trusty folks!

Well seeing as we have had a huge ice storm down here. My mechanic has no power so I can't get it checked...without paying labour and to some other mechanic. So Ill have to wait until tomorrow I guess. Hopefully it makes it, the light hasn't come back on yet today, and i've driven it for about 15 minutes 4 times now.

Alright so, I finally got my car checked today and it ended up being nothing. Well not actually nothing, but just a corrorded wire on the harrness for the alternator....the separate wire that controls the alt light was corroded and everytime you wiggled it the light would turn on and off. Meh, saved me 300 or something dollars!

5.4 lightning motor into v6 mustang?

not sure if anyone has tried this one yet... i recently put my mustang on the road. its a 1995 6 banger. i rebuilt the whole top end wit new gaskets and what not and the rebuilt the aod-e auto transmission at college over the past few months. i took it to get it inspected and the guy offered me to take his 5.4 liter v8, transmission, wiring harness, and computer for free.(hes a family friend) has anybody ever tried this and if so what all am i looking at to pull it off?
