2.3l

Hey guys, im new to the forum deal and i have some questions about things i can do to my 1986 mustang LX hatchback..i was just wondering if i was to buy a front/rear bumer and side skirts made for a 87-89 if they would fit..and ive also noticed that the 87 can get euro tail lights..does anyone happen to know if those would also fit the 86 or what i would have to do to get them to fit.. im plaing on redoing the car..not turning it into a 5.0L like most but trying to get as much horsepower and awsome looks out of the 2.3L any and all help would be appreciated with suggestions of what i can do.

Thanks Rob

and ur saying that if i was to get the 87 parts it would go on with out any trouble ..or just easily? would i have to do any modifications to the existing body? because like it has 88 mustang doors on it and they went on no problem what so ever.

im sure you would have to swap over the headlight harness or something for the headlights but im sure you could get it to work with little problem

in order to swap your car to the 87-93 look your gunna need:
fenders, front bumper, rear bumper, lights front and back. All light kits bolt up the same from 79-93 IF your car has the provided bumper for it. This includes the Capri models. Some lights may look outta place in the rear if your trying to swap things like capri RS tails into a stang. They are shorter in the width so it'll work but look funny.

Shoot me a PM if you need any help or pics as I have a roller coupe thats gutted and can be of assistance in location.

hey i have just done the opisit and changed my 87s front to an 85 and the lites are just a matter of a little cutting and the tail lites are the same any way but you will need a new hood as well as they are differnt found that out the hard way p.s if your want i would consider swaping my old 87 hood for your 86 hood?
