Need some help.
Hello everyone!
I am in the process of buying a 1994 mustang with a 3.8 in it. The engine is apparently junk. I have a 93 supercoupe sitting at my work that has been neglected for years. Could I use that 3.8 in the stang? or if the engine is good in the 94 could I bolt on the supercharger? Any info would be appriciated Thanks Joe |
yes they should be the same and yes you can use the supercharger

great. would I have to change the computer?
|
i am not 100% on that i don't think you would. but you would need a xcal type tunner to make it work perfect

Awesome Thanks!

thanks. I tried to join the v6power website but it will not let me register, having problems with the no spam question.

BTW, using the SC blower and associated bits on the original Mustang engine isn't a great idea. Ford changed a bunch of the internals for the Super Coupe engine:
http://www.sccoa.com/articles/everwonder.php Jamie Hiscoe in the Niagara area has some experience with this conversion. He posts on GTAMC as "V6 Sprout", I can't remember if he's on this forum as well. cheers Ed N. |
Well the deal on the 94 went sour. But I got a smokin deal on a 95 with a blown engine. The SC is junk so I think I will pull the motor trans and computer out and put it into the stang. Then I have to switch the stang to a stick from an auto, So hopefully I could use a lot of parts on the stang from the SC. If not I will just put an engine in the stang and sell the SC for parts.
Thanks for your help! Joe |
