Spark Plugs - Performance Platinum or Iridum for V6s
 
I'm getting ready to order a set of Taylor Thundervolt wires to help with that lovely radio interferance I get @ zero volume, plus I figured swaping out a 'Wear Part' according to my extended warranty, it wouldn't kill me.

Do you guys think it would be okay to grab the Iridum spark plugs designed with the proper gap for my '03 v6 stanger.. or should I stick to Motorcraft 'not well performers' that come oem for the car.

Would I need to upgrade the coils for the iridium, or can I keep the stock coil.
I'm not looking for major performance gains here.. just something that will last me a lot longer than stock components.

If anyone who own's a 6er can let me know it'll be great.

well i have been always told to just use the ford plugs that fords like ford ignition parts

Honestly I noticed a differnce in the plugs when I ran bosch platnum +4's vs running motorcraft plugs now in the way my car idles, it idles alot cleaner and smoother with the motorcraft plugs. I personally have heard the same that fords like ford ignition parts.

The Platinum plugs that are in there last a LONG time. Replacing them, why not stick with a part that you know what engineered for your vehicle? I'd stick with the motorcraft ones.

So stick with motorcraft replacements for plugs then. I'm already @ the 80,000 km mark, so I figured I'd put brand new ones in.

No opinions on putting on Non-Ford wires though I guess eh?
The stock ones don't help much for stereo equipment. LOL.

What are you experiencing in your radio? Ive never had a problem with having a stereo in my mustang unless I put the RCAs along the same side as the power wire you have to run them on seperate sides of the car.

That was all done. I've got RCA's for Front/Rear and Sub.

When they were run they all couldn't fit under one sill plate (not much space with all the stock wireing, so I think they were split up on each side.

the RCAs should never ever be on the same side as the power wire. if it is it could be the whole reason your getting noise.

I think we're doing a full day project this summer anyways to find the cause of the noise. We're going to run new RCA's outside the car bit by bit to figure out which is the culprit.

I honestly don't think they are being run on the same side as AMP power wire that's for sure.

I heard that running them along just under the centre consol is another good
spot.

Should be a fun job with lots of beer breaks. LOL.
