I have a white 99 mustang blacked out windows and tailights with the grey 17" bullit rims that could use a refinishing was debating between redoing original color or making black??? ideas or thoughts

 

Go black if you already have other stuff blacked out.

 

Go white to match the car, tires are already blacked out.

 

White wheels on a white car are sort of 1989 aren't they??

My vote would be for black or very dark grey.

I was kidding Ed. Everything old is new again, wait a few years, white wheels on a white car will come back around, and OP could even score a set of bias ply whitewalls to set them off.

 

I was kidding as well ... back then it was usually the whole wheel that was painted body colour, not even a machined or polished lip for contrast. I know in the import scene these days the coloured wheels are big, some crazy combos of colour too.

I vote on black aswell.

 

I vote black as well but call me weird, I think white would look sweet.

 

I have the 17X8 Bullit wheels on my GT & I like them grey. Just my 2 cents

 

Black rims on a white car pop out though compared to the factory grey/anthracite colour.
