Over Revved! :(

Lol, feel stupid posting this, especially since I have an Auto, but once and I while I manually shift my gears, today I slammed the pedal in first got a crap load of wheel spin and I swear my Tach read about 7100 - 7500 RPM, before it finally slapped into second. I have been crapping my pants all day now. Do you think I screwed anything up?? I didn't hear anything but my friend was talking lots while I was driving after.

There is a rev limiter so you can't over rev. If you had hit the limiter you would know it.

I see you have a tune. I'm assuming they keep a limiter in the tune but I don't know that for sure.

I swear there was no limiter, cause it wasn't in drive I had it held in first and I never heard it rev so high it said 7400ish. I dunno how that happened, I mean I thought there was a limited too unless the tach was off but it sounded way above 6000 lol..

Ah hell you're likely fine....I used to rev my 2002 Gt to 7000rpm for ***** and giggles.... Not often.... But more than a couple times cause I loved the exhaust note. Lol I generally kept a review limiter on it though

I used to do that(either up or down) but stopped when I read that you can scrap your tranny.

I would check with your tuner and verify the rev limiter. Regardless if your engine isn't in a pile on the ground underneath your car it should be fine.

X's 2 on double checking the rev limit in your tune. It's something i wouldn't do very often. If you only new how those followers or held in place under those cams covers, you would **** yourself LOL
