Rear suspension ?

Alright so I have been adding all my mustangs Christmas presents onto the car when I noticed something bizarre. The rear shock which are black tokico have what seem to be another shock in front of it rubbing against it. The shock is is slightly off vertical which I know it is supposed to look like but this added piece is on the tire side of the shock touching and rubbing against it and is horizontal. I have googled what this suspension is supposed to look like and mine looks like this is aftermaket. It's position seems to imply that it keeps the axle from moving front to back. Can someone tell me what it is. I have no idea how to post pics so if maybe someone can post a few and I can see if mine is similar. I know my description is horrible. Oh ya n I got my throttle body on. Nitrous is done except a couple of wires. Got the new shifter almost done and gears are in the mail. Come on spring. I ported my plenum myself Thanx to 1lows instructions and took it for a spin and it sure does rev faster. Thanks for any info guys and happy new year

And the shock is black tokico. Are a black tokico d-spec shocks. I will get the tire off tonight and if someone who knows suspensions wants to pm me their cell number I will text them a pic so they can tell me what I got here. ANSI installed the tri-axe last night and WOW. What a shifter

The horizontal "shock" is the quad shock. It is there to prevent wheel hop,but can be pulled off if one is running after market upper, and lower rear control arms.
And from what i understand, the black tokico is a D spec.
And again,no prob's,glad it'a all coming together for you.

Well I home ported my plenum as per your instructions and the throttle response in the upper revs is night and day. Great free mod. And I am gonna use that adjustability on my shocks and see if it helps my launch. My tuner has a neutral rpm and a drive rpm limiter which made me think about launch control. I set it at 3000 rpms and am gonna learn how to let my clutch out to minimize wheel spin at that rpm then go up from there. I took er out for a rip today with the 91 octane tune and I advanced the timing 2 degrees in all 3 rpm ranges and the power increase is unreal. Completely different animal. When the gears go in I am thinking 12s on spray. What an amazing tranformation for the 250 I paid for tuner. Looking back the tuner and gear combo should have been my first mod. Definitely great bang for buck

is there a big performance gain when you change your cam? or is it more for the position of the power in the rpm ranges?
