Axle-Back or Full Cat-back

which is recommended? i have the stock exhaust on my 06GT but want the deeper-throatier tone. I may do CAI down the road if that matters too

thanks!

Personally if you are not going to an x pipe I would only do the axle back as you would be replacing stainless pipe with stainless pipe

Is there an advantage to going with an x-pipe and full cat-back over the axle-back? (all of a sudden I feel like a newb *LOL*)

Is the stock exhaust not 2 1/2 already from Ford along with nice bends in the system. So wouldn't it be a waste of money to do a catback?Doing the axle back seems to be the smart saving ways i would think?!
Just looking at the diagram,it's a pretty nice system stock, and doesn't even look restricted at all compared the the previous years. So if it were me,i would do the axleback for some serious sound improvements for sure.

The stock pipes are good. Go axle back.
For performace gains, cold air intake and a tune make a world of differance. Then 4.10's.

4.10 are gears-rear end. If you have a 5sp you have 3.55 auto I think 3.31's. I alway got into Flowmaster 40's on the Mustangs. With my new 09 I am running MagnaFlow

I am deciding between the Sean Hyland JBA's @$395, the Steeda axle-backs @$550.85, and the Roush GT Extreme Performance Exhaust Kit (part#403936) @$650 incl. shipping

note - all these prices are CDN and I am in Canada...
