engine blew at 102000klms

Hi My 05 mustang gt at 102000 klms started clicking, took it in, needed new cam shaft and rockers. cost $3300.00 plus tax. Ford cut it back to $1450.00. anyone else had this problem.

Can't say I've heard of that yet. I have 70k on my 05 and she still sounds and runs good.

Ouch. Not a lot of clicks for that kind of damage.

That sucks dude, welcome to the forum though. Are you the original owner, or did you buy it previously enjoyed? Maybe someone else put some abuse on it? Pretty cool of Ford to eat over half of the cost though, with an '05 at that mileage, they didn't have any obligation to do that.

I got an 05 GT as well with just under 100 000km. Still running strong. You must have had something defective for ford to cut the bill like that.

First time i've heard of this!!No more warranty on your GT?
If not, that $1450.00 doesn't sound to bad considering the parts needed plus laybour. On a positive note,it might be a good time to upgrade to aftermarket cams.
