Any common issues with 4.6L 4v Engine??

I took the new mach1 out for a quick run on a nice day for my first real little drive. Very nice, LOTS Of POWER. I am loving my new edition to the family. I was wondering is there any problems or issues to watch out for engine, tranny, anything? 2003 mach 1 with 50,000km get this it still has ford factory warrenty until 100,000 or june 2013 that is crazy cost me $115 to transfer. This car was babied and will be babied for many years to come. Once again thanks for all answers.

Sounds like a sweet ride , how much did it set you back I'd like to find a mach 1 or a 2001 cobra at a reasonable price. They are a bit hard to find .

I just bought her about two weeks ago never drove it so yeah I drove it for 30 mins I just had to try her once. I will be detailing it when the weather is good, including cleaning the under carriage the my friend at a local dealer will rust proof the under with the rino type spray. I know I was bad driving her but It was the first drive of me owning her. I paid $14,000 he was asking $16,000. The first owner magnaflowed the exhaust she sounds great my neighbours may not think so but if I have to listen to that yappy dog they can listen to my pony!! lol

I did not want to pay any summer premiums or compete with all the summer buyers better deals in the winter.

Congrats. The 5 speed 3650 tremecs are know to have a hard time shifting, and have a little grinding issue. There is a TSB on this issue,so since you still have warranty, pay close attention, and fix it before the warranty runs out.
Same for the rear end,and limited slip, there is a tsb for both.Another good one to pay attention too.
Just do a google search on 2003 mustang TSB's.Ome might be important to you, some might not, some might have been done.Worth the check though.Other then that. You should have many years of enjoyment.
Other then that,they

Congrats on the Mach In 03 the mach/Cobras had a problem with the #8 cylinder drivers side rear heating up and it would tick loud and in some cases wreak the engine, take a look under the car and see if that side head is painted blue underneath if so ford replaced it thats the biggest thing i looked for when i bought mine. all try and think of anything else Rob.
