The SLP is a nice exhaust but IMO, not worth the money you will spend to ship it here to Canada. You have to consider taxes and duty on shipping as well.

Ask around and see what others are using here, maybe get some clips. I'm running a Flowmaster system, some run Borla, Magnaflow, Steeda, etc.

Clean_5oh 01-22-2005 05:10 PM

I hear the sound is similar to Magnaflow Magna Pack and Borla Stingers... I'm not to sure.

I know of a place here in Burlington call Budget brake and Muffler. They love doing work on mustang etc. and they are cheap. I'll PM you there phone number and you can give them a shout.

Also... take a look in the Exhaust section of the forums... there is an SLP section already up... Some answers for you there.

SLP is a nice. just pricey

spidartanks 01-22-2005 05:27 PM

thanks for the help, im really going to look hard to see if i can find an slp set up for not too expensive. i plan on having it for a while so i will do it right the first time.
i was going to go with magnaflow mufflers only but ive opted for some sort of cat back set up.

thanks for the number i'll call for a price on it :tup

What type of price are you finding these for in Canadian dollars?
What are you thinking of spending on a cat back system?
Hope this helps.

I second that!

Just before you splurge for the kit, make sure you know what you're asking for. I've only heard it on a firebird before, but that system is damn LOUD. Not to mention it'll probably drone on the highway and just became all-around irritating.. if you're sure it's what you want, then I can't wait to hear it ! :)

spidartanks 01-23-2005 03:24 PM

WOW that first video of the mach 1 is awesome sounding. that IS exactly what i want my car to sound like.
nice and loud, even if it does drone a little on the highway....

im going to see about ordering the system this week. i hope it is hear sooN!

well if your like me, you wont be able to wait till spring. i installed a magnapack catback and it sounds pretty good. only had it in for about 2 months, after a month it became louder.

spidartanks 01-26-2005 04:01 PM

So the snow isnt going to ruin any part of the new exhaust?
im pretty sure it wont but ijsut wanted to make sure?

gfong 01-26-2005 04:07 PM

Did the big brown truck roll up yet??? Just kidding around. Pretty soon though eh!

spidartanks 01-26-2005 05:27 PM

Soon it better be here. if i dont install it i'll have it in my bed with me for the month. lol....

any other suggestions as to putting my exhaust on the car or wait till spring time?

when does everyone take their cars out from storage?

It'd wait until spring to put the exhaust on. Otherwise, the slush, snow and salt will give it a good beating. I will have my Stang out mid-March if the weather co-operates.

I agree on the install as well.

Car will be on the road end March probally.

02gt 01-26-2005 08:33 PM

isnt your exhaust stainless steel? lifetime warranty? thats why i chose magnapack.

spidartanks 01-28-2005 10:50 PM

I believe it is stainless and warantted for life. that is why i am thinking the snow and salt wont do any damage to it?
i just wasnt 100% sure.

is it worth getting the car oil sprayed for the remainder of winter. car has to come out of storage feb 5th.

What can brown do for you. Nice, good luck.

G-ForceJunkie 01-31-2005 11:36 AM

if it's Stainless then I'd install, might get a few scratches on it from salt and sand, but not many people look under your car at your exhaust :tup

Brown typically hits you hard with "brokerage" fees :bleh:
