How many??

I realize that this is not a technical question but I don't know where else to post it.
I have a canary yellow 1993 LX special edition which I bought new from Eastway Ford in St Thomas (I live in Montreal). I know my one was number 17 of a batch built to Canadian spec but I don't know how many were in that batch. I have been told that very few came into Canada, perhaps as few as 28, and I remember, when I bought this car, there were only 5 remaining at all of the dealers across Canada. Would anyone out there know how many of these cars were, in fact, built to Canadian spec? I'd appreciate any info anyone has on this. Thanks.

This would be an interesting stat. I've only ever seen one in my time and it was in Quebec.

89 Thanks for the reply. As I said I live in Montreal and there are three in the city. One is an automatic which came down from Quebec City (it was available when we bought ours but we wanted a 5 speed). Strangely enough, on one of our trips to Guelph, where my inlaws live, we saw another one going the other way at Kingston. By his reaction, the driver of the other car couldn't believe his eyes either! When we bought our car in Montreal and the dealer did the search for it, the sales manager said that, to his knowledge only 28 had been made to Canadian spec. However, no one seems to know for sure...Thanks again.
