Also i didnt go with the marine because my battery was too large to fit lol. So it was either get the cheaper box but buy a battery, or make a box and keep mine. lol

Taylor makes a sweet cheap kit for the Relocate.
Great start there however you are adding weight. (to the right place)
Ditch the A/C completely.....Is this a daily Driver?
I know a few guys with just 2 sparco's and harness's. all else gone except for what you can get away with Legally. One still runs the stock hood. If it was not needed it was tossed out of the Stang.
Do you want creature comforts?
The 86 weigh's in around 3000lb. I know of a 01 weighing in at 3100lb in Race trim.
If you just want to dump a few lbs shed the A/C and Back seat. As for the dust shields and cross braces via hood.. I doubt this would help much other then giving you possible problems down the road.

Yes it's a daily driver. Although the vast majority of it is just me going to work (about a 20 Km drive). Otherwise I participate in every autoslalom or lapping event I can find in the region.
The AC has to stay for now because when we do take family trips in the summer I drive

Are the newer ones chock full of sound deadener.
You'd be surprised, we got 110 LBs ourt of my buddies 86 GT including the tar thats sorta glued to the floor.. You'll need a heat gun, some patience [beer] but it can be worth it. It's everywhere, under & behind the rear seats, behind all the panels in the back seat area, under the carpet, up the firewall etc.....

If you need a list of what to remove, let me know and I can provide one. Our 01GT that ran the 11.2 on Stock Longblock weighs in at 3250lbs with driver, with AC, Radio, Most Comforts and is daily driven. The car makes just over 400rwhp and traps 123mph
