That Makes Sense. Stupid Government...I bet you didn't know that if you get a po box in Huron country and register your vehicle to that address your not required to etest! I have been doing some thinking about this one.

It will be if the engine itself remains stock, meanning no cams, blower, turbo, unless it was factory equipped with a blower like the '03/'04 Cobras, and current GT500's.
Reason i say that is because those mods require a custom tune which changes things in the ecu.
Say if you have a stock engine that has been tuned with a programmer that has exhaust work, or an intake, or pulleys for example, you can put the stock tune back in, do the e test via the OBD, and pass, and then do the idle test with no issues cause it's running like stock again.
With an engine that has cam work, blower work, turbo work, it's not that simple, all the setting get changed like the spark, air/fuel, ects so it can run descent again , so going back to a stock tune will not work for the idle test, only for the OBD test where it doesn't require to run/idle.

I'm going to look deeper into this as my GT is cammed, and i need to get the e test done before i park it, or when i bring it back out next season since my B day is in the middle of winter.

Seems to me that they are getting a little rediculous with this emission stuff. I understand that there is a need for it but there are so many things like planes, trains, equipment, etc that belch out way more hydrocarbons than our cars ever will.

But all in seriousness, my GT passes fine aslong as i run the stock H pipe. The only thing that could hurt me is the cams. Minus those cams, JLT cai, and Steeda pulleys, my engine stock. Yeah i have the Bullitt intake, but really it's a stock Ford piece from a production car.
It just pisses me off to keep spending money into something like this when my modified car passes everytime,and my '06 F 150 only spits out zero's.

Oh i hear you . Cash grab in my opinion. I can see older vehicles, but for vehicles within the last 15 or so years, come on. LOL
