Alright, so here's the deal. I've ridden in a bunch of Machs, have owned three Mustangs, and I currently have an 03 Cobra Convertible.

If you are just going to cruise around, don't want to drag, or anything like that, you'll get the Mach.

BUT

It WILL limit your power potential. When I bought my Terminator, I swore I would never mod it. Now it makes 460 to the wheels, and screams every time the T/B opens all the way. Don't sell yourself short here, you WILL change your mind, and you WILL modify the car. Hands down, the Cobra is the car you want.

You'll spend more, but you'll never be unhappy, the potential on the stock block is limitless. 1000+ hp has been done on the STOCK motor (by stock I mean stock short block).

I'm lucky to be living in Alberta. Insurance on the 09 gt500 totals out at 464.00 per year full coverage. I have to drive it less than 5000 kms per year which is not an issue

Bottom line, for the difference you pay up front, you'll spend more trying to make the Mach1 as fast as your friends Cobra.

Just make the right choice now, and you'll be happy forever-
