1990 5.0 wants to stalling

Hi Guys,

I am new to the forum and have a modified 1990 5.0 that is fairly modified. SC intake, heads, and exhaust. I have a tuned Kenne Bell chip and everything was running perfectly until I had taken track lessons and ended up with a burnt speedo cable (which) I have yet to replace. The cable runs approx 6" from my header and it still melted.
The motor starts and idles nice but when I press down on the clutch (anytime, not even in gear) to disengage from the flywheel the motor wants to stall. I have to rev it to keep from stalling it and as soon as it is in gear and I am moving not a problem. Then there after every time I change gears same issue. Weird since I figure less load when the clutch is off flywheel? What can be the problem?

Your help is needed.

Check your engine grounds, TPS AIC it could be coincidence that issues started when cable melted. Good Luck
