1994 GT with some clunks???

Hey all,

Well I borrowed my buddie's 1994 Mustang GT cause he is selling it and I wanted first dibbs............so I am driving it and trying it and I really like it. There are a couple things wrong with it though...........there is this clunk coming from the tranny......atleast it sounds like it..........I suspect a tranny mount...............it's pronounced when letting off the clutch in first........couple clunks then goes away..........driving along it will kinda do it but not as bad..........the tranny seems to shake when you take off too..............at about 110km/h you get a vibration that seems to come........go.......come go...........etc etc..........anybody ever encounter this?? We know the sway bar bushings in the back are slack but not sure if they would cause this? Anyone..........help?

i've got a 95gt 5.0 auto and the rearend is way to soft so certain dips in the road will bottom her out but no clunk but my trannie is a little wonky going in to rev. had all mounts checked at ford dealer, its the trannie . when i asked about a fluid change they recommended that i dont change the filter at all

Those bolts have come loose on me 3 times since I've owned my 94. One time one side completely came out, the transmission shook like crazy.

Yeah well when I picked up the car I thought it was a lot worse........the skakin now is very minor but I think it's cause it had been loose for so long. I am a freaken happy camper............I love the leather seats and the rest of the interior........I don't regret going from 1985 to 1994.........it's a great car...........even at 187,000km it's still tight...........next step is to go pass the e-test..............it passed 2 years ago..........I will give her an oil change and clean out the air filter...................all in all...........I LIKE IT A LOT!
