Well im still looking now for a set of heads but i wanna stay away from aluminum.
Ford 5.0L Windsor Sr. 200 Cast Iron Cylinder Head 200cc Intake Ports 58cc Combustion Chambers 2.020'' Int/1.600'' Exh Valves 1.250'' Valve Spring, .560'' Max Lift |
Why not aluminum?
Confining your head options to iron rules out the vast majority of good heads that would work perfectly on a stroked 302. Really the Windsor Srs are your only real option and they are no where near cutting edge technology as far as cylinder heads go. They'd probably work well enough though and are better suited to the additional cubic inches you have compared to the stockers. |
True u do have a point so if i ran aluminum heads which would u suggest with the setup i have now? Without loseing the streetability of the car?

heads
Why do you think you lose street ability when bolting on heads?

wouldnt heat from the motor have more of an effect on the aluminum?

aluminum
They don't hold the heat like iron. Your thinking backwards. Heads will wake up your motor with the right cam you will make another 60-80 hp. Thats just bolt on no porting

Aluminum is lighter and easier to port .
HEads or so friggin expensive though. :slaphead: |
