Cam??
I have an 85 GT and wondering which Cam to go with. Everyone I know runs the E303 but are there other options. I need to replace the lifters as well.
Using the car on the street and its a carbed 5 speed. Any advice will be appreciated

Everyone uses the E cam cause it works. It has proven well, and sounds sweet to boot!LOL!
Lots of options out there for cams, but it is all in what you want in a combo for power, torque, longtivity, reliability, and what is your purpose for this build.
Basically, what do you want,....a simple street car with a mild build,or an all out drag car?
As for the lifters, you really don't,but it would be a good time to up grade to a nice set of roller rockers, same goes for valve springs, but i would get rid of the '85 heads all together if you are still running them.

About the trickflow cams... Does anyone know what model is mild enough so I don't have to do a pile of valvetrain work? And still provide enough brake boost to stop this car. I haven't done a brake upgrade so it stops poorly as it is

well I've just swapped from the E303 to a TFS1... the Ecam can be heard here on my car
just rr's and cam and a 70mm TB is all thats done to that motor.

now I haven't had the car much with the TFs1 in it but I can tell you this.
the car is much more refined... closest thing your gunna get to a mod motor.
sounds nice but the power comes on differently. it'll rip like the ecam till about 3400rpms
and then out of nowhere it just gets more power and sucks you back into your seat.
If your car is a daily driver then get the tfs1... it's totally worth it.
