My father had a 289 out of a 64 1/2 mustang rebuilt and a 302 performance head and cam installed. The car ran well for 2 months and now is stalling out all the time.. I set the timing for a stock 289 and now realize with the 302 head and mild cam the timing has probably changed. The gentleman that rebuilt the engine has Alzheimers now and does not remember what cam was installed. Is there only certain cams that would fit so i could find out the timing? Please go gentle if my question sounds stupid. I have never seen a spacer like this. it devides the engine left and right??
