Hey bud,

I sold my 85 and got a 94................sorry for any confusion.

I recently had the clutch changed in my car, and had a LUK clutch put in.. it's pretty much OEM Ford except for the branding.. nice and light, and works well if you're under 300hp.

Oddly enough, I decided to change the rear main seal when doing the clutch.. you've opted to go the other way around!

Clutch

I installed the cobra clutch kit in place of a broken centerforce unit and it is a very good clutch ,requires less pedal effort and I havent noticed and difference in grip :tup

your mechanic is right if the clutch is worn replace it,you should pay little or no difference in adding the clutch (only pay for the parts)as all the same crap has to come out for both jobs.

If you go with the new clutch its soft driving and easy shifting for the next 500km to brake in the clutch or you get the joy of doing the whole job over.

New Ford Motorsport HD Clutch is in!

Hey all!

Well I got my car back last night and what a difference! :chacha: Actually grabs a bit lower than the stock one. The only thing that makes me nervous is no warranty!.........I find it's easier than the stock clutch in terms of stiffness.........all in all I am really happy! I am however driving it like an old lady for the first 500-700km................pretty crappy cause me a few others were planning to go racing next week-end...........awkwell eh! Thanks for all your help................ :tup

Best bang for the buck is Ram clutchres, I have there 10.5" kit for a 89 but I'm sure they have a 10" for your aplication(85 is 10" stock right?).
