Thanks for all your suggestions! Now I need to solve the oil pan leak! lol That's going to be fun! The only thing that's going for me is thet I have a 30 x 30 garage but no heater!

I agree, that is a normal T5 issue.

What do you intend on adjusting in your T5?

Psst....there is nothing to adjust but you can rebuild it. Just that if the only issue you have is the reverse thing then your tranny is fine.

I have same problem in t45 and from what I have read it's common on these trannys when cold

charbopa 12-20-2010 07:06 AM

Finally had the chance to take it out last night for a small spin (First time driving it since I owned it) and I dont think it's the tranny, it the damn clutch!!!! I'm gonna drop the tranny and change the clutch and rep[lace seals while I'm at it...........

I have an 1990 5.0 and my tranny also does this too.. i was asking around and got told this a normal as the reverse does not have a syncro.. but if it helps go to 5 then reverse thats what i do it doesnt grindd

I saw a centerforce clutch in the corral site that was used but still looked like it had lots of life in it for 100 bucks plus shipping. I love mine. And Darwin on this site has a mccloud rst or something. It's top of the line and he wants 300 I think.

Not sure if the t5 has a syncro on the reverse or not would have to look at the service manual i have here,, Charbopa if you need a hand let me know , not too far away from you In Colborne, currently doing a 65, with a T5 setup.. Albert Skinner ..

Thanks Albert for the message! After doing the adjustment it seems to be fine but I really cant test it out cause of winter and all, especially after that darn snowfall we had over the weekend! Are you restoring the 65?

That's really cheap for a centerforce! Do all the centerforce have the same feel? I would be interested in getting one!
