Cold Air Intake
Hello All
I am new to this stuff but was thinking of getting a Cold Air Intake for my 2015 Mustang. I am thinking the K&N 63 Series, is this a good choice or am I wasting my money? Will there be any performance Improvements? Thanks Dan |
Depends. If you get a tuner with a cold air intake you would see increase hp and fuel savings. Then too some CAI such as the Roush Kit does not require a tuner and there is both hp and increased mileage with it, I have this on my 2007 GT.

They say the K&N does not require a tune. I just don't want to drop 500.00
if it will not improve performance |

In my opinion unless you are doing it with a tune it probably won't really net you an real gains. Id put the money into a good axle back instead as you will at least hear the results.

Thanks ChadStang will look into the axle back what do you recommend
Thank Dan |

I have the GT Premium Convertible. I have been watching some videos on the Roush axle back, sounds good compared to stock

Axle backs are like anything else, go with what you like and what sounds best to you. Good idea to scout out youtube vids, theres good real world testing. Sucks if you spend that kind of cash and decide you're not happy with the sound.

Got the Roush Axle Back put on today 15 minute job. Sounds great compared to the stock. Driving on the highway they are quite at cruising speed no different than stock but come alive when you push them. Love them around town nice rumble but not to loud The harder you push them the louder they are. Sounds like a muscle car now. Love the sound
