Computer?
So I'm building this motor for my 87 stang. Trickflow track heat top end kit, 347 stroker kit, x-303 cam, mass air coversion,30lbs injectors, etc. But what do I have to do to the computer to handle this? Or do I buy a chip? I having a hell of a time trying to find information. I was on steeda's website and there is something called a chip reburn? I need help! :drink

Should run fine without a chip........ run it first, get the A/F ratio correct, timing around 15 to 17 degrees for that combo (depending on compression), the chip will help with your power, but a chip is not needed to have it run well.
Edit: make sure your MAF is calibrated for your 30 lbs injectors. I suggest around 80 mm to even a 90 mm MAF for that combo.

The OEM's do certain things for a reason and they are not stupid

What do you recommend?

- Ford or SCT (which is a bigger Ford Meter) Mass Air Meter
- Appropriate Injectors
- Appropriate Fuel Pump
- Chip
- Custom Tune (if necessary)
You will have much better drivability, better fuel economy and the car will be setup as it should be...
