Dealerships :( :(

Just curious on if anyone else has had same issues as iam... I have a 2018 mustang gt fastback and have noticed the transmission down shifts kinda hard from 4th to 3rd and going from reverse to drive grabs hard and also noticed a ticking sound from engine (below) so I brought it in to ford dealership and they said they cant see or hear or feel any problems... and transmission will shift better once warmed up????
Any advice on how or what I should say or do would be helpful... going to bring it back and tell them to at least reset the transmission tables and try to relearn it as I bought it used... it has 20k on it

Thanks in advance 👍

The 10 speed definitely doesn't shift nice cold, they improve a lot once warm. Unfortunately, there isn't much than can be done with them as it's nearly always software related. If there are no bulletins for updates, nothing can be done. It also tends to be tough to reproduce the concern.

As far as engine noise, there seems to be lots of complaints about this engine noise but Ford has deemed it as normal. I've had 2 5.0 cars (2013 and 2014) that both had some engine noise. It never became a problem in either and one of them and the 14 had a whipple on it for 30,000km. If it worries you buy a Ford extended warranty, you can cover the powertrain for 8 years from the original purchase date.

Good idea on the warranty ... I'm just one of those owners who always listens and hears noises that to me are a concern.. hopefully it's nothing and just me being paranoid

They basically said nothing was wrong with any of the problems I mentioned to them, so i told them when is a ticking sound ever good in an engine and they also said that the transmission was fine and works better once warmed up I then told them I had the car running for an hour and it still runs the same with hard down shifting and from reverse to drive grabs hard and now I have had it slip gears from 2nd to 3rd where it basically feels like it's in neutral for a second and doesnt move when giving it gas and then catches and takes off.... they told me to get ahold of the service manager and go over it with him and of course a week later with several phone calls and messages I still havent recieved a phone call from him.
