Explorer intake injector angles
Explorer intake injector angles
First post for me on this forum gentlemen.
I've just purchased a 91 Cobra GT five speed, and given the bolt-ons the previous owner installed (friend of mine) I'd like to step up to a better manifold. I notice that the Explorer manifolds, at least from the photos on Ebay, have an angled injector boss. If that's true, does this mean if I can locate the Explorer upper and lower manifold that I should get the fuel rail as well?
Thanks for any info on this swap.

I've never really put them side-by-side, but I think the intake/rail is the exact same as a GT-40 which is a direct replacement and works with stock parts. I highly doubt the rail would be required and it would likely have a different feed location anyways.
Just use the Fox fuel rail, it works fine. I have that on the EFI swap in my early Cougar. The Explorer fuel rail has different positions for the connections, as mentioned.
