Finally. . . Making Some Headway

well,
after a long winter and getting a bunch of parts put on the stang and then driving from the shop to my house (20kms) and blowing it up (rod bearing) I finally pulled the engine last weekend, stripped it and am prepping my new(er) motor. . . its 0.020 over, and found out today when i pulled the cam out it has got an E303! Tomorrow im picking up my new rod and main bearings and arp head bolts along with my gasket kit and Im dropping the heads off to get cleaned and magnafluxed and springs checked. . .
Now I have a question. . . with a E303 cam can i run the stock valve springs on my stock heads? I know its a good idea to upgrade but im getting kinda tight on cash so can i get by w/o replacing the springs.
thanks guys

Last night we finished the rods n mains, and plastigauged (good), got the heads on, front cover and lower intake. . . i tried puttin my tall valve cover but the TB is hitting them, i cant run an intake spacer because the intake will hit the hood, ill be getting a cowl hood someday when i paint the car. . . today's girlfriend day lol so well be back at it tomorrow night, hopefully get it and the tranny in the car. . . and one more night have it running

Yeeeah! drove her home tonight. . . still got a bug to work out. We got the car started and it Idled Friggin Awesome (*chug*chug*chug) with my e303) and we let it warm up, then we timed it and set it at 10*+, shut the car off to add more coolant and when we started it again it wont idle, just dies. . . is it possible the computer has to relearn itself? i turned the "stopper" screw to idle it up a little bit. . . I put around 70kms on it and it seems to be idling a little better. . . am i going to need a tune because of the cam?

oh yeah. . . it seems strong!
