Gears

Has anyone swapped out their gears themselves? What is involved? :roll2:

If you don't know what you're doing-don't even try, you need to set up the gears properly as well as the bearings, it's kinda like a fine art.

Well I have done everything else from brakes to complete engine rebuilds but never done the rear end gears, still think I shouldn't give it a go?

I have done all that and much more many times over, and I'm sure I could do it if I tried but I'd still pay someone to do it, to me it's not worth it to save a few hundred bucks, good luck though. :thum:

Well I priced it out and they want 425 plus tax!! I could do lots with that money!!

$425 just labour? That is very high, usually it's $300+/-$50. Up to you man, if you think you can do it, by all means. :teeth:
