Jay, perhaps a tune would make the car run better, get better mileage and get more power.

I think replacing the 02 sensors would do the trick aswell.
Have they ever been changed??? Cause they usally need changing after 60,000 kms

As far as I know the only way is to disconnect the battery for about 10 mins.

So I got the car plugged in today to find the error code..

Came back that it wasn't getting any info from my Mass Air Sensor, And the o2's..


Tried pricing a Mass Air Sensor? Damm Ford is expensive! Partsource can't get one till tuesday as it has to come from the states and the price from them was 110, Ford which can have one for me tomorrow wants 300ish (can't remember the exact price, just that it's over 300).

suggestion given to me from ford, since the guy knew that i just converted it over from auto to stick showing i can do a little under the hood. said to take it apart and let it soak, so i did, plus delicatly cleaned it as well.

Now.. Not running 100%, more like 90% .. Fuel consumption is back to a normal amount.

SO I went and bought the o2 sensors as I believe they might still be orginal.

I'll let ya's know how it is after I change them.

I wanted my car to be reasonable on gas again, since i'm heading to montreal saturday and coming back sunday night some point. (anyone here from Montreal?)

But she was good on gas this weekend, especially on the highway. (sorry can't remember the k's, but at lease twice what i was getting)

I got a chance to finally push the stang, after getting the min k's for the new clutch. WHAT a difference this car is now with becoming standard. A lot more of driving pleasure that's for sure. :chacha:

I was waiting to do my whole exhaust to put the new O2s in but I think you convinced me to put them in as soon as it stops friggen raining!

your car looks as the same age, might be more depending on how many k's you have on your car


I just learnt that they should be changed every 60,000k's .. My car doesn't have high k at all (101,ish) ..

they are something in your car that won't hurt to change, but do you know for sure if you need them?

you can get your car plugged in and have a computer check done to find out if yours are responding. They aren't a cheap item and kinda a pain to change with your h-pipe in place.

to get my out easier, i just broke the old ones so they were just a nut. with a wrench, you just can't get the leverage you need, thus with breaking them, i heated them up a little and put a socket on there. MUCH easier, as with the wrench i wasn't getting any luck, and was looking like it was going to strip the bolt.
