You can do it with a voltmeter, but a simple code scanners for an 87 is dirt cheap at CT.

Are they really that cheap?

I always thought they were like $50+? But maybe that is cheap to some, just not me...I'm cheap... :biggrin: :biggrin: ...I guess I should have been more precise in my last post, my goal isn't to get the codes off the computer, but rather retrieve them. The jumper wire trick makes the SES light flash a certain amount of times for each trouble code so you can figure out if you have a bad O2 for example but didn't know it. I was hoping there was a similar "Trick" for the computers in the 'stangs.But i will check at CT to see how much the real deal is going for.
