Power Plus Typhoon Upper+Lower
Adj FPR (cant remember what I have for psi, havent checked this yr)

I would say your close.I know guys with similar mods but with edelbrock heads rpm intake,longtube headers are squeeking 300 or a tad over 300.
I know my GT has a 4.6,but she runs 13.1 at 107 in the quarter mile with 17 inch drag radials,and on eibach sportline springs which are not ment to drag with LOL,and my GT only makes 287hp.
What was your sixty foots like?

^^^ x 2. I'd say you're there.

my 60ft's arent good, all of them mostly between 2.21 and 2.28 had a couple that were 2.18. . . . I was launching at idle and was still spinning bad...
I raced my friends chevelle on an unofficial 1/4 mile (unused street all marked out) and I was beating him by like 3-4 lengths all 5 times that we raced, the next day he went to the track and ran a 13.16 BUT he had slicks on. . . when i was at the track and ran a 13.8 i was on street tires and they didnt put much compond down.

lazy_stang 06-05-2010 01:10 PM

will slicks knock a whole second off

lazy_stang 06-05-2010 01:12 PM

i was running stock suspension then, now i have sport lines. I prob wont go to the track anymore cause now i have about 275lbs of extra weight in the trunk lol

I post directly from camera to this site assuming th epics are not to large. I could be corrected but you might see 1 second off with slicks, definitely not with dr's though

Not trying to sound rude,but the street is a diffirent story.It's like comparing apples against oranges.I'm no expert or professional,but they are not the same from my expirience.A big hp car will have a harder time to get any form of traction on street tires compared on the strip with stickies out back.
Try to get yourself a better tire to start with.Running a sticker tire will knock some time off,but your mph will drop aswell,meanning you might hit close to 100 mph.Work on those sixty foots,and get some tires.Street tires are not the greatest thing to go buy with a modded car.With added hp,you need added traction.Right now with the 102 mph,your good for a solid 13.1.But with more seat time that could change. :wink:
Like me your gonna find that the sportline springs are gonna make you work for your money.My GT pulls the best of 13.1 at 107 mph on drag radial,and 1.8 sixty foots cause those springs give very little to weight tranfer which in turn,creates more wheel spin then you really need.Most guys that run my similar set up on ther modular 2V stangs,....but with the proper drag suspension,run mid 12's at 107 mph on drag radials,and cutting good sixties while they are at it.
If you plan on doing a lot of dragging,do some research on suspension.That along with the some good seat time,and tires,you will see the improvements start happenning.:tup

thanks. . . Im probably done at the track for now anyways. . . like i said i added a lot of weight to my rear Attachment 4401 and its def gonna slow me down. but it does hook up a lot better lol. Yeah when my buddy and i ran on the street we both had street tires on, I smoked him and when we ran at the track (different days) he beat my time but he had slicks on, I didnt. Ive got quite a bit of seat time, just not enough cash-flow to get the extra things i should have for the track.

There are two things you can do to find out.

1) There is a formula to calculate your HP. You need the exact weight of your ride from a scale, and then your time over a given distance, which you have for a 1/4 mile. There's an algorithm to calculate REAL HP.

Notation as ^2 which means "squared" or ^3 which means "cubed"

Calculate HP From ET and Weight

HP = (Weight / ((ET/5.825)^3))

Calculate HP From MPH and Weight

HP = (((MPH / 234)^3) * Weight)

=========OR=========

2) You can purchase a software pack like Digimoto and their OBDII tool to connect to you laptop and it will tell you after a run. It's like having your own personal dyno.
