injector sizing

hey guys, i was woundering is there any kind of test that can be done to determine what size injectors should be installed? if so how can it be done? thanks

There are formulas to determine injector sizing, based on horsepower and brake specific fuel consumption (which you wouldn't know without dynoing it of course). You can plug in some estimated numbers to get you close.

I googled "fuel injector sizing formula", and this one came up as the first hit, it is a reputable source:

The other way to look at it, if you have the engine / car on a dyno, and are getting a tune with an aftermarket chip, is to look at the injector duty cycle at your highest power point. If the injectors are being worked over 85% duty cycle, you need to step up a size (or more).
