low oil level sensor

low oil level sensor

Mine is leaking bad.Was out to do some work on it and found it.I heard you can't buy the sensor anymore.Any ideas on how to fix it?

You can still buy them... they are $57 and another 7 for the gasket. They are threaded right into the oil pan.

i find the rubber seal in the end where the wire comes out keeps popping out.

I epoxied a plastic cap on it, and siliconed the whole thing up.

I can't wait... to wrestle with mine . I'lll be into an oil pan in the summer... if it lasts that long
