He Guys,
I've got a pretty bad oil leak coming from the low oil sensor in the oil pan. I hear you can get a plug for this whole and just forget about the sensor (it's more of a too late sensor anyway) but can't find it anywhere....does anyone know the par number?

 

That sensor tells you when you are down 1 litre exactly, I'd hardly call it "too late".

You could use a bolt, two washers and some silicone, that would do it, but the sensor (if its working) is quite useful if your car leaks oil (like mine did with my rear-main until I fixed it).

 

if it's supposes to tell me when i am down one litre mine is really done for....not long after i got the car, owing to some careless neglect, i accidentally let the oil leak so long it barely registered on the dip stick when i finally checked it (didn't realize it hada bad oil leak) and still no light....

 

usually when you're at the "Min" spot on the dipstick (barely noticeable) you are infact only down 1 liter.

I believe it's to idiot proof it.

I know it's like that on most cars, not 100% on stangs

 

It will be EXACTLY (at least with my 89 Lincoln and my 87 GT) on the ADD mark when the light comes on, which means that its down exactly a litre

 

let's hope you're right.....i haven't checked my oil in 3 days now....it could be getting low :laughhard
