So what is everyone putting in their stang's??

Since I am in the mid of changing from auto to stick, i'll be in the market for a new clutch ....

checking to see what is the preferred choice?

what about Center Force Dual Friction?

Ford motorsport SVO is the best for <350hp and the lowest price to have the best quality ! :tup

Well, I just pulled my clutch (my rear main was leaking and caused some lovely hot spots) and found out it was a King Cobra...... I replaced it with a Centerforce Dual Friction setup and I much prefer it. Lighter pedal action, better grab, just a more responsive clutch in general, I have nothing bad to say about the King Cobra, but the Centerforce is a lot better.

if you had installed a new king cobra clutch you should have the same feeling of a newwww clutch . for sure a new centerforce is better than a used KC

I really like the King Cobra. I've used the Centerforce Dual Friction and its comparable to the KC, though I like the KC better. In my car I have the King Cobra disc with the weighted Centerforce pressure plate and it feels and grabs great! I've probably got about 350HP to the flywheel and tons of torque and it holds up very nicely! I've also used the Luk Heavy Duty clutch, its basically an unbranded King Cobra at a lower cost. I've installed them in a couple of my customers vehicles and they love them. Luk is one of the largest clutch manufacturers in the world, and most aftermarket companies just buy from them and rebrand the clutch kits as their own.

Don't we have this exact thread somewhere else? maybe it's on another board and I'm confused lol.

I just use a stock replacement clutch, fairly cheap...it's held up great and if it breaks it's better than the tranny breaking. Make your clutch your weak point and you'll never really have to worry, until you start getting to 275-300 HP at the wheels.

^LOL a clutch is more expensive than a T5!!! And trust me I know. My FMS HD clutch has done me so well, still has a ton of meat on it. 3680LBS launching on slicks for 2 years.... Many Many trannies have failed where that clutch has held strong.

Centerforce has always been in my ride!
