Oh my oh my, I can not get over how ugly the power steering pump is on a 5.0L....

I mean seriously what was Ford thinking putting something so hideous at the top off the engine in plain view!

There must be some sort of polished cover or SOMETHING out there...

I mean if theres nothing Ill pull it out and smash it to smithereens and convert to manual but I really don't wanna do that either!
Then I gotta buy a new rack and steering shaft!!!

Nice find but I have a 94-95 style, would it fit? It says up to 93....

I cant even find a picture with one even installed... Most of the time they sit towards the drivers fender, but my blower bracket makes my pump lean to the opp side...!?!

don't know if it would fit....I'd say probably no if the listing doesn't indicate your year

I don't have one on my 4.6l....the pump is down at the bottom of the motor....but I've got Canton tank for the PS fluid all shined up

what's the pump made out of?......if it's aluminum, it'll shine up like a mirror....if it's not aluminum you could get it powder-coated to look like chrome/polished

I'd try and get your paws on another one and fack around with a few options....and then when you get it to the level you want it....swap it in the car

I guess thats what my options are then, Ill either have to fancy up another one or just delete my power steering...

I just cant believe Steeda, UPR, and all those other bling companies have not made a chrome/polished sleeve that can slide right over that ugly plastic housing....!

is it difficult to separate the plastic housing from the pump?

there's a process available that can coat plastic with a chrome-like plastic finish

Winger did a couple of pieces on his ride with this process

only other option is to crop up a custom template outta cardboard....and get an aluminum fabricator to make it up.....I did this for my brake-fluid reservoir cover.....nobody made one, and I was pissed at looking at the plastic so I had one fabbed and polished....actually had about 8 of them done for the small # of local bling-freaks....you probably know who they are
