Problems with the transplant!

Hey!
Gutted a 1981 notchback 6cyl car and replaced with a 1990 5L HO but am having a problem with getting it to flash. I've got spark and fuel to the rail but am wondering about the injectors and how much fuel pump pressure is required. Just where do the injectors get the pulse message to inject? Am building the car for Drag Racing so want it to be consistent and fun to run. Sorry I don't know too much about the computer and am not an Ace Mechanic so any help or suggestions would be helpful. I'm running a C6 trans and 3.73 ratio locker and have lightened radically so can't wait to play.
Thanks!
H.

You need 40 psi fuel pressure with a return system and the injectors are fired from the computer.
