alright.. so for my birthday .. i spent my time pulling it all apart..

what did i find?

my pilot bearing was facked ... there was a quarter of it missing where the roller parts would be..

went to ford (since it was new) and told them it didn't last even 200k's as that's all i got outta my car..

looks like i did wear a bit off of the clutch, but still has 99% left, so stuck with it. flywheel, clean and not oily.. cleaned it off anyway..

put it all back together..

Works Great !!

what sux now, the throwout bearing is making a little noise, i'll give it a day of driving to see.. i'll be not happy if I have to pull that apart again just for that :banghead:

So.. overall, I guess it was the pilot bearing causing my problem... weird

good . i thought mine was slipping as well, as seen in the kick factor thread in 4v forum, but she was buckin real hard today, ran like a dream. i still cant figure out what the it was. good to hear the stang is back up and running.

Yeah Thanks..

I was seriously :banghead: doing that!!!

sux now that the throwout bearing is squeaking.. :banghead:

will give it a few days to see if it needs to be replaced (although it's New from Karbelt)..

SSSSSSSSSSSSSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO happy with my stang now that i've dump'd the slush box!!

I replaced both when I put my clutch in, used new ones from DaSilva Racing in Scarborough....have been working mint (also did my rear main) I think its a good practice to replace pilot and throwout every time you do your clutch as a "just in case" thing.

pretty much what i thought..

the car i got my parts from, the guy said it was all working great.. had 82k' on it... but didn't take any chances, it's apart..

just change it now.. :deal:

So i bought new rear main seal, throwout bearing, clutch, flywheel turned .. now adding to the list is clutch cable .. which turns out I likely didn't need to, Anyone in need of a clutch cable? :banghead:

OH well.. To Say the least, it's done now !!

Car drives completely different, it feels alive .. much better then that slush box aode :shakeit:
