Agreed.I 've done numerous headers swaps on the '85 plus 5.0's and never seen a heat shield on one.All '85 plus 5.0's come with tubed shorty headers from the factory except for the automatic equipped '85 5.0L i believe.
With age,this will happen to the starter.Make sure you get a factory replacement starter from Ford,Aftermarket ones do not last long at all,if it does,you got a lucky one.LOL!

My mustang misses
 
I have an 05 Mustang which runned perfect until it got ran over a hill. The car sit on it's side for approximately 14 hours before towing. Since then, it misses bad and hesitates when accelerating. I changed the spark plugs which helped for about a day, then it started right back. Does anyone have an idea what could be the problem?

Truggy, you should have started a new thread, more people will see it that way. Your stock heads will cost you 50-75 horspower on a 347. It will probably make 275-300 to the tires with stock heads... but thats just a guess I could be wrong.
What kind of Jeep do you have?... got any pics?
