Starting Trouble

I have an 87 gt and it doesn't want to start
I replaced the starter once already, it worked for a bit , but now when i try to start it, all i hear is the starter spin but no crank :cry2:
I checked out the flywheel and it seemed to be ok. what can be the problem??

could be

a loose battery cable, poor ground, corroded cables...maybe someone else could help out better than I. My '87 GT had an issue with the Ignition that was causing it to not start proper or at all, I think it was the rotor assembly or something like that.

hey no problem, we all help each other out

thats what these forums are for...so we can all learn from each others mistakes or successes...which ever it may be...in my case, lots of mistakes & bad luck...so if you have something wrong, I prolly have a bill for it, so I can figure out what it might have been.

Sounds like you need a new starter. Wherever you bought the starter from should have some sort of warranty. Now, theres also a possibility that the starter bolts have come loose as this had happened to me once and I thought I needed a new starter. The top bolt (which is also a little bit of a bitch to get at) kept coming loose on my car. Check those first before ordering another starter.
