Suggestions for Cat-Back system?????

Well boys..........I need tires but that's irrelevant.............what I am really hankerin for is a cat-back to make my pony sound like a real pony!

I got a 1994 GT with a 5spd. All stock except for a drop in K&N and heavy duty ford racing clutch.............

The brands I like are flowmaster and magnaflow.............any suggestions are welcome...............I do want chrome tips!

Also where can I get a good deal????

as far as what brand, i cant help you there.
-i have MAC long tube headers, high flow cats, and cat back.

What i can tell you, is to check out DeSilvia Racing in scarbrough (im assuming you live in the GTA.... if not...well then never mind, this entire post was a waste of your time ) they also have a web site mustangtoystore.com. the site is ok, but no prices -i think. anyway, if you live in the GTA drive down, they have good prices, and good service....i think i have spent enough cash there to send joes kid to medical school...twice!

Dan, I believe you mean DaSilva Racing

If you have an otherwise stock exhaust you could try just cutting the mufflers out, that's what I have and it's quieter than many a mustang with an aftermarket Catted mid-pipe and cat-back.

I just heard a buddies 90 LX 5.0 with Mac headers back-complete and damn it sounded perfect. Mind you he took the cats off, and as he is a mechanic that's an easy job for him

I would go Flowmaster on that 94. I heard Flow's on a 94 last week and they sounded great. I'm sure Magnaflow's sound good too, but Flow's tend to have more of that Mustang "sound" IMHO.

Go see Paul at PSP (416-285-7285) for a good deal on any exhaust system you choose. I personally love the sound of "Old School" Flowmasters on any 5.0, get the non-delta flow 2 chamber Flow's. Go with a nice 2.5-3" tailpipe, I'm pretty sure Paul sells those too. A good tailpipe will make the car sound tougher and will clean up the sound a bit.

Your best bet is to go to an event or shop where you can hear different exhaust

magnaflow
Flowmaster
MAC proformace

I've had all 3 on my previous mustangs. I have MAC on now with no Catts and it sounds mean. I'll be putting catts back on this spring though and keeping them on.

I think flows sound the best on a 94.

I would get an O/R H pipe and then some 40 series Flowmasters..that will make it nice and loud!
