1badnotch - I would recommend gears also, maybe a cold air intake, remove that limited breather box and let your car breathe, also reduce some weight, if you have the a/c pump removed now, then I assume its not a total daily driver but a bit of a toy, what is your purpose for this car, maybe can suggest some things after hearing that.
