Question What type of damage?

What type of damage can be caused by driving with a spark plug wire disconnected?

I took the 5.0L for a drive and it was running rough but by the time I realized it was a spark plug wire that some how came off I had driven about 10 km. During that drive I didn't beat the car, anyone know if it can cause any serious damage to the engine.

It should be fine and no damage caused. Friend ran his truck like that by mistake for a while, had 350,000kms and other than running like a bag of dirt, there was no damage.

pull out the oil dip stick and smell the oil...if it smells like fuel, change your oil.
(you may have "washed out" that cylinder)
