I am going to guess that you are talking about Marks car...I have not seen it, but if it is as clean as he says, and it has 54K original, then I would tend to think that he will get $11,000 for it.

Very low km's foxes are getting extremely rare nowadays...if you don't want to pay $11,000 for it thats fine, but I am sure someone will not have a second thought about buying it for that price.

I subscribe to the "you get what you pay for" train of thought.

And finding a superclean, totally unmolested Fox with those kind of kms is worth a premium IMO.

I guess it depends on what your plans with the car are (ie:...keep her stock or mod the hell out of it).

At the end of the day...10-11K isn't huge bucks (keep in mind I compare this price to what I've spent just modding my car alone...to the price of an 06...and the price of many Fox bodies I've seen in various conditions - usually 3k for heaps and 8k for nicer/modded stuff).

If I had a full blown boner for that model of Stang...and that car is what is stated (and I believe it is)..I'd be on it like a fly on . :tup

Fox body's and 99+ mustangs sell for more than the 94-98 Mustangs.
For the 94-98 group ...the lowest priced of the bunch would be the 94-98 V6 mustangs, then the 96-98 GT's.

For the Foxes, the lower priced models would be the nasty/high milage 4 bangers, then the nasty/high milage V8's.

When i bought my clean no winter 91 GT in 1999 I paid $9200 for it. When i went out lookin, price was not an object... clean and clean and no winters was. I am NOT a body person, so when i do body work... it LOOKS like I did body work. OH YA... little to no mods was also a criteria. Remember, not all of these shadetree's know the difference between brake pad and a brake shoe (meaning... i wouldn't trust them to check the air in my tires, let alone modify their cars)... you know... like ricers.

I am personally happy to see the Foxes go up in price. I am sad/angry to see the roundy pounders destroyin all these nice clean 4 bangers. But, that too will drive the value of the foxes up even higher.

Lately (end of summer) i have seen a whole bunch of high milage nasty lookin winter driven V8's. It is real sad. So those few clean ones that are left SHOULD go up in price, not down.

If you find a nice clean low milage no winter 87-93 V8 for under 8K... you have found a bargin.

Yes, but do you pay 11K, just cause someone says so? 5point's red one with 54 original Kms is totally worth 11K especially if you like red. The sense I get is that he got it for 8 and is flipping it, but not my business and good for him if he did. I know someone else that just did that with a black fox I was very tempted by, but passed, not clean enough. If your goal is to Mod, why by a cherry only to pop it. Someone who buys that should put it back to showroom condition and never change it again and hope for Barrett Jackson money in about 20 years. If you want a fox to get blown and all the rest of it, you're better off paying 10K to a guy that's done the basics and you save the first $3500 in mods off the bat.


I've always agreed in principle because if you cheap out, you usually end up paying it down the road anyway, but given the uncertainty and lies that go along with the car game, it's better to negotiate as hard as you can now so that when the surprise comes later you won't regret it.

I'm reminded of "rnourse" at the gta with that sweet 88 GT T-top and the cooling problems and of course my truck. Even after 3 surprise repairs they guy hid when selling, I was still O.K. with it cause I got it dirt cheap it was the truck I wanted and the colour I wanted for the price I wanted.

Hi Guys. I gave an 89 gt vert(never winter driven, 101,000 km) which I have had to get an appraisal done for my insurance. The appraised figure was 13,200 in 2003 and 16,000 on 2005. The appraiser told me that they are starting to see the foxes going up in price(the ones in good condition) as there are fewer ones on the road.

11k for mint fox is not outrageous anymore.

FWIW...when I had the appraisal done on my 2000...before and after major mods...we started at "brand new replacement value" for the car itself, and then determined what extra value the mods were worth.

The reason why the appraiser agreed to this was because there is pretty much NO chance that in the result of a total loss...that the insurance company could ever find a stock GT of the same year in the same condition.

So even appraisers agree that the totally-pampered-never-see-rain-low km vehicles deserve a premium.

That red fox that is for sale on gtamc is mint. I know the guy that used to own that car before fivepointohno. I have not talked to him in a year. I can't believe he sold it.I have seen underneath that car and it is unreal how clean that car is. All the guys in the shop went nuts. The oil pan was spotless with hardly any dirt on it. I asked my buddy if he cleaned it underneath and he said no. I drove that car and it is like brand new.

Then someone better grab it for a steal at 11K.
