Airaid air filter

I am looking at replacing my stock paper filter with one of these dry washable ones from airaid. anyone have any experience with these whether on a 4.0, 3.7,4.6 5.0, 5.4, 5.8 or any other mustang power plant and intake?

Reviews seem good and may say they would use this over a K&N version

What would the benefit be over the stocker? Is it supposed to flow better? Ive had several k&n filters, oiling and cleaning is a pain for sure.

Chad that's the question, whats the benefit? Do they flow better? Do they trap more dirt etc?

My car came with a K&N and when it's dirty I'll probably put a stock filter back on. I really can't see it making much of a difference.

From what I've read on the forums, no, its no better and often actually worse than stock.

Yeah for the cost of replacing it I would do it based on looks alone. I have read some good stuff on many of the Shelby forums about Airaid and I will most likely go that route
