66-67 MERCURY CYCLONE SS wheels!

Hi. New here to board. Need help.

Where a Canadian (preferably in BC) buy some REPRO 14" Mercury Cyclone SS wheels ?? (Specialtywheels.com makes 'em, but I'd like to avoid all the Customs, etc & find them here.)

I have the repro MercHead center caps, etc., but I just need to rid my 67 of its 65 'stang wheels & go original !

(I know I should have put this on the tires/wheels section, but looked there,...looks like too much about NEW stuff)

PS. While on the topic,....anybody have a tip on where to get single or dual RED-LINE tires in BC (interior or VGA area) ??

Thx!

Don't know about B.C. but MustangsUnlimited sell the wheels and the tires. I'm presuming the wheels are the same as the styled Cougar ones. Stu

And that would be why I said I don't know about BC...

I have a friend in the Okanagan into Cougars, I'll contact him and see if he knows any suppliers in BC.

These guys may be able to get the Mercury version as they sell the Mustang styled wheels. I'm going out on a limb her but I'll speculate they may be made and/or distributed by the same firm.

My Brother had a 68 390 GT Cyclone and I remember his wheels were the same as a Mustang GT wheel from that same era. He did have a Mercury centre cap though.

Not sure if maybe the wheels you are looking for are just Mustang GT wheels with different centre caps.

The Mustang GTwheels are readily available in Canada.

Mercury had a 5 spoked wheel the same as the 65-67 Mustang styled wheel but instead of punching triangular holes in the spoked part Mercury punched rectangular holes in the space between spokes ( similar to Magnum 500s). The overall look of the Mercury wheels is that of a Cragar SS or GT wheel albeit in stamped steel not cast like the Cragar.

In '68 the GT wheels changed from a 5 spoke to multi holed wheel that used a center dished hubcap either plain or with GT script. These wheels were available in argent or chromed version.

Mercury continued to use the 5 spoked wheel but changed the center section from chrome to a dark grey paint. These later wheels were often seen on Cyclone CJ's and Cougars too. Stu

There was also a 5 slot version of that wheel in dark gray that came out in 1970. I've seen it on Cyclones, Mustangs and Cougars. Stu

Smile 14" mercury Cyclone SS wheels?

Aloha, just saw your post and went to the website you mentioned but I don't see the wheels? I'd like to see about getting a set for my 1966 Mercury Cyclone Convertible GT. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Mahalo (Thank you)!
